Barcelona-based software plug-in specialist DUY’s recently introduced Silence is a new noise reduction tool for Mac OS X (RTAS, VST, AU, MAS) that simply analyses the noise on a given part of a track for a few seconds, then lets the user adjust the attack, release, and threshold values; alternatively, an Advanced mode lets users change the noise gate settings of over 1,000 frequency bands for greater control of unwanted noise.
