MADIX offers up to 128 digital audio PRODUCT UPDATE M1 Tube Tracker TL Audio has announced that it will be launching a brand new version of its popular M1 Tube tracker console at the 125th AES convention in San Francisco this month. Combining analogue and digital technology, the modular console will be available in eight and twelve channel configurations, and hand built in England. The new M1-F will feature the same high quality tube preamps and styling, with additions such as an improved master section featuring a mono button for use when mixing, in addition to balanced insert points for mixdown, summing, and mastering. However, perhaps the most notable new feature being brought to the M1-F is its ability to be fitted with TL Audio's latest digital interface, the DO-F card, which is also due for release at this year's AES convention. The DO-F is designed to offer an easy and high quality solution for interfacing TL Audio's products with Mac- or PC-based DAWs via a single FireWire cable without the need for an additional interface or soundcard. Simple configuration and the ability to access all inputs and outputs of the analogue hardware via FireWire promise to make the system tidy and user-friendly. The DO-F interface is estimated to start shipping later this year, and can be ordered to be pre-fitted to the Fat Track or new M1-F consoles.
