AudioMedia - February 2009 - (Page 51) PRODUCT SAMPLER AURATUS is part of Stage Tec’s range of digital mixing consoles. The console is principally designed for television and broadcast use, as well as OB vehicle installation. Its compact footprint provides a maximum of 32 input channels, eight groups, one stereo and one 5.1 surround sum, eight auxiliary paths, and eight mix-minus sums. AURATUS’ entire DSP power is provided by a single NEXUS plug-in board. Like all Stage Tec consoles, AURATUS fully integrates with the NEXUS audio network. Tascam’s DM-4800 is a 64-Channel Digital Mixing Console with a remote layer that provides 24-fader control of leading DAWs. A ‘fat channel’ strip in the centre of the board provides access to the fourband parametric EQ, dynamics, and aux controls available for the first 48 channels. The IF-FW/DM MkII interface provides 32-channel, 96kHz Firewire I/O, while the optional surround monitoring card provides downmixing, bass mangement, and level control for mixing up to 6.1 surround sound. | STUDIO CONSOLES www.stagetec.com www.tascam.com Available in 16, 24, and 32-channel configurations, the Toft ATB has undergone a series of structural and functional upgrades to produce the ATB Version 2.1. The console features the same four-band EQ that was used on the Trident Series 80 boards, in-line monitoring, and direct outputs on each input channel. In-line monitoring, additional master section inputs, and dedicated stereo effects return allow up to 88 channels of input when mixing. www.toftaudiodesigns.com Studer’s Vista 7 Digital Mixing System consists of an operating desk, DSP core, input/output interfaces, and the monitoring frame. In addition to the control bay, users can add between two and seven channel bays, each of which accommodates 10 faders. A ganging function allows the operator to apply functions to multiple channel strips simultaneously. Patented Vistonics technology integrates rotary controls and buttons within a flat screen display. TL Audio’s Valve Technology Console is a fully modular in-line multi-track mixer. The company’s valve circuitry forms an integral part of the VTC’s channel, monitor, group, and master section signal paths. Every channel and Mix B pre-amp incorporates an ECC83/ 12AX7A valve stage, as do the group, Mix B, and stereo master mix amplifiers. And for applications where small is beautiful, there is also the M1-F TubeTracker, a more compact tube-based mixer. Yamaha’s DM2000VCM is the first digital audio production console to receive THX pm3 surround standard approval. Yamaha says that the console combines many surround mixing and monitoring functions with a maximum of 96 inputs and 22 mixing busses, transparent sound quality, 24-bit AD/DA, 96kHz sampling, and efficient integration with DAW packages. The DM2000VCM also comes with VCM plugins including EQ, compressors, tape saturation, guitar effects, and the REV-X reverb algorithm. www.studer.ch www.tlaudio.co.uk www.yamahaproaudio.com www.audient.com http://www.tascam.com http://www.stagetec.com http://www.toftaudiodesigns.com http://www.yamahaproaudio.com http://www.studer.ch http://www.tlaudio.co.uk http://www.audient.com
