The P-10 uses SD or SDHC memory cards for solid state, reliable storage and supports motion jpeg and still jpeg formats. A bright color LCD display enables viewing with no need for an external monitor. Analog capture inputs provide a quick and easy way to directly capture to the P-10 — and then immediately play it back with effects enhancing any presentation or performance. Additionally, the slide show function allows you to piece together still images to create a motion video effect. The P-10 can be used for corporate presentations, VJs, clubs, houses of worship, and sporting events — anywhere that visuals must be available instantaneously and spontaneously. U.S. list price is $1,195. Visit www.rolandsystemsgroup.com, or call 800-380-2580. MICROPHONE SIGNAL PROCESSOR Sabine has expanded the Phantom Mic Rider series with the introduction of two new versions of the Phantom Mic Rider Pro. Like the original Phantom, the two new models are phantompowered, inline signal processors that plug directly into handheld or gooseneck mics. Phantoms are designed to improve the microphone’s performance by providing solutions to the challenges associated with poor mic technique or unattended sound systems. The Series 3 Phantom Mic Rider Pro (shown) has just one function — the integrated Infrared Gate. This simply turns the microphone on and off depending on the presence of a person in front of the mic, using a heat-sensing IR sensor. The Series 2 Phantom Mic Rider Pro includes the IR Gate, as well as Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and a Plosive and Proximity Control. List price for the Phantom Series 3 is $139.95, and the Phantom Pro Series 2 is $169.95. Visit www.sabine.com, or call 800-626-7394. AV CARTS Bretford introduces two height-adjustable carts with welded pull-out shelving. The newest versions of the A2642NS (shown) and CA2642NS carts reduce set-up time and support the use of additional technology equipment, such as a notebook computer. According to Bretford, the new carts are perfect for K-12 and higher education classrooms, corporate training rooms, hospitality meeting rooms, and audiovisual rental. The A2642NS has three open shelves, while the CA2642NS includes a lower locking cabinet to store equipment and deter tampering and theft. Both models are 24 inches wide x 18 inches deep and can be adjusted from 26 inches to 42 inches high by resetting four screws to a comfortable projecting height. They offer enough room on the top shelf to accommodate a 20-inch diagonal monitor or any AV equipment with similar dimensions, and are available with either 4- or 5-inch swivel casters for easy movement and locking brakes. The A2642NS has a starting list price of $271, and the CA2642NS lists fro $434. Visit www.bretford.com, or call 800-521-9614. DLP PROJECTORS Projectiondesign announces the introduction of their F10 and F30 (shown) series projectors with WUXGA resolution and DLP technology. With a display resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels (2,304,000 pixels) and a 16:10 aspect ratio, these projectors are an ideal fit for computer-centric applications, according to the company. WUXGA resolution fits the native resolution of many graphics cards, including high-end laptops and portable computers. The 1920 by 1200 WUXGA resolution is also backwards compatible with standard UXGA at 1600 x 1200 resolution, making it ideal for upgrading older projection systems to widescreen. The F10 and F30 projectors both feature a variety of projection lenses, and provide up to 3500 and 4100 lumens of brightness, respectively. U.S. list price is $15,995 for the F10 and $24,995 for the F30, without lenses.
