Keep Your Certiﬁcation… Maintain the CTS Advantage Renewal Unit (RU) Options Chart* RUs and You If you are a Certiﬁed Technology Specialist, you need to have 30 hours of renewal unit credits (RUs) every 3 years to keep your credential renewed and in good standing. For example, 35 minutes = .5 RUs, 45 minutes = 1 RU, and 1 hour and 40 minutes = 1.5 RUs. Look for the RU listings throughout InfoComm’s Education Catalog. Keep records of your renewal units so that when the time comes to renew, you’re ready!
