If the Colorista plug-in is installed in both Final Cut Pro and After Effects, you can choose to grade in-context inside Final Cut Pro as you edit, yet still gain the benefit of improved render quality by using After Effects as your finishing solution. Automatic Duck takes care of making sure your Colorista settings from FCP match in After Effects. Many folks testing the waters with desktop digital intermediate (DI) solutions will find this workflow very attractive.
