One of the highlights of the Expo will be a live “HD Workflow” panel discussion with veteran videographers Dennis Dillon (60 Minutes, Dateline, 20/20), Dave Sperling (an award-winning director of photography), Doug Jensen (Survivor, Big Brother) and Curt Pair (a veteran news and sports shooter), moderated by TV Technology’s “Inside Production” columnist Walter Schoenknecht. Starting at 1 p.m. EST, the discussion will cover the advantages of using an HD tapeless workflow, the benefits of HD acquisition, strategies for transitioning to HD, and specific equipment features and benefits. Following the “HD Workflow” discussion, you can join a real-time, online Q&A session with the panelists, where they'll answer questions and go into further detail on their experiences. (You can also watch supplementary interviews with each of the panelists conducted by Videography editor Cristina Clapp, with more in-depth information about the kinds of challenges each has faced in a variety of actual production environments.)
