TECHNOLOGY TREASURES SEEKING EXCELLENCE AT THE NAB SHOW, WE FOUND OUR BLACK DIAMOND AWARD WINNERS FOR 2008. T his past April, Las Vegas was host to the annual National Association of Broadcasters Show, and we scoured its multiple exhibit floors for the latest and greatest innovations for our readers. Twenty exemplary items were selected as winners of our 2nd Annual Black Diamond Awards — named after DV’s diamondbased review ratings system. Products were nominated by a jury of editors and contributors to DV, Videography and Government Video magazines. For an item to be given a Black Diamond Award, it must receive the unanimous vote of all the judges and have a significant relevance to the DV readership in particular.
