GC has always gone the extra mile to be more than just a music retailer, offering not just the best deals, but also the best resources to help you get the most out of your equipment. Guitar Center’s Sessions series kicked off in 2006 with events in Los Angeles and New York City, and has quickly grown to become one of the hottest tickets for musicians across the country. Sessions events bring together musicians and audio enthusiasts from beginners to seasoned professionals, offering a wide range of in-store clinics, seminars, hands-on workshops, and product demonstrations, as well as panel discussions and live performances. “Since its introduction more than two years ago, Guitar Center Sessions has become the cornerstone of our music education program,” says Dustin Hinz, GC’s manager of event marketing and promotions. “We offer several high-profile events every month at stores across the country, ranging from intimate evenings of music and dialogue with high-profile musicians such as Slash, Joe Satriani, Dave Mustaine, and Tom Delonge, to hands-on workshops with new gear from our top manufacturers. Additionally, many of our 214 stores hold local events monthly. The good news is that there’s an abundance of resources when it comes to staying informed.
