Keyboard Presents Korg Product Spotlight - (Page 6) D888 BLOG AN EXCERPT FROM THE FICTICIOUS BLOG ENTRIES OF PAUL AND POLLY This month, I’d like to talk about music on this blog. I play guitar and sing – or I should say I used to play acoustic guitar and sing with a local cover band. All that ended about six years ago. Lately though, I’ve started playing again – in my living room, mind you – and started to finish some songs I began writing while I was in the band. That also inspired me to write a few new ones. Follow along in my blog entries below and see what adventures a musician can find. Day 1: Creativity Don’t know what it is, but ideas for songs have been coming fast and furious over the last few weeks. I seem to have hit the creativity mother lode. I’d love to get a few songs down on tape so my friends can hear them. I need something better than my old Walkman®, though. My friend Polly has offered to sing a little back-up, too. Day 2: Window Shopping I headed over to the music store after work today–what an eye opener! Apparently there’s no such thing as tape anymore. Everything’s a “Digital Recorder” now. I looked at a few different ones. Some were way out of my league; others seemed a bit toy-ish, but I really liked one – it reminded me of the mixer we used in my old band, and I thought I could find my way around it fairly easily. It was the Korg D888. Day 3: Payday It’s payday! I headed back to the music store and picked up the D888 I saw on Tuesday.
