The 10th Ultra Music Festival in Miami, featuring world renowned DJs and electronic music artists, was recently held in downtown Miami’s Bicentennial Park on five separate stages. Thanks to Latin America partner Covenant Music and Managing Director Alex Vincero, Powersoft amplification was well represented at the festival with 18 K Series K10, K8, and K6 digital amps. According to the event’s organizers, the sound quality provided by Powersoft amplifiers in tandem with DAS speakers was exceptional. At the new Ovation Lounge music club at Green Valley Ranch Resort in the greater Las Vegas area , Phoenix-based AVDB (Audio Video Design Build) Group supplied and installed a FOH loudspeaker setup comprised of numerous LACOUSTICS KUDO enclosures arrayed horizontally above the front of the stage. “Ovation Lounge is an asymmetrical room that requires different horizontal coverage on the sides,” offers AVDB Group CEO Scott Oosthuizen. “The room also needs the kind of SPL that is only available from an active three-way system like these powerful KUDO line-array cabinets.” ALLEN & HEATH ZED-24 USB Mixer Allen & Heath’s ZED-24 stereo mixer, which is now shipping, provides 23 independent sources to the mix, 10 independent outputs, four aux sends (two pre and two post fade), a USB send and return (for PC or Mac recording, playback and effects), a dual stereo input capability and advanced monitoring facilities.
