A Dolby E Encoder module will follow later this year. The Lawo SurCode for Dolby E plug-in functions as a VST plug-in that is controlled by a graphical user interface allowing for full control and recall on the fly, completely integrated into the Lawo production environment. The new facility, which will serve Clear Channel FM stations WBIG (Classic Hits), WASH (Soft Rock), WIHT (Top 40), WMZQ (Country) and WWDC (Active Rock/Modern Rock), will have a total of 41 DN-C640 CD players throughout its studios and editing suites. German public broadcaster Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) recently installed install five Fairlight Xynergi desktop media creation systems at its facilities in Cologne. The decision to invest in Fairlight Xynergi was taken at the end of 2007 and quickly led to the installation of two Xynergi MPC96 systems with SX-48 MADI interfaces used for operator training. The three remaining systems were installed in May, along with a 12-fader Sidecar and two CC1 upgrades for the DREAM1 Station and Constellation systems.
