Boasting a net weight under 7 lbs. on its lightest model, the IPR Series utilizes an advanced design that reportedly allows Peavey engineers to reduce weight while increasing output power, reliability and thermal efficiency. IPR Series amplifiers are designed with a switch-mode power supply and a Class-D topology. The IPR Series amplifiers feature two channels with independent, 100 Hz crossovers and a variable-speed fan housed in a lightweight aluminum chassis. The Noise Stick can be plugged into a phantom-powered microphone input, and it generates pink noise. The Noise Stick is hand-built in the U.S. exclusively for Rational Acoustics by PMP Audio Works and reportedly features hand-matched transistors, 1 percent tolerance resistors and a Linear Feedback Shift Register (LFSR) random-number generator that provides a pseudorandom signal with statistical properties and without any audible repeats. The output of the Noise Stick’s random-number generator drives a hand-tuned filter bank that delivers a pink spectrum that is nominally flat within +/- 0.5 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz on a fractional-octave analyzer. It evolved from the company’s flagship iLive digital range. The T Series comprises the fixed I/O iDR-32 and iDR-48 MixRacks, and iLiveT80 and iLive-T112 surface options with remote Cat-5 connection. Each rack can be used with either control surface, and all models will be compatible with the existing iLive units. Key to the development of the T Series is the proprietary Allen & Heath ACE (Audio Control Ethernet) link, which reportedly allows long-distance point-topoint control and audio connection between the rack and surface using a single CAT-5 cable.
