ith the CALM Act ready to take effect at the end of 2012, television broadcasters have turned a keen ear to audio developments. Audio pioneer Dolby Laboratories has been part of broadcast installations for decades. Likewise, Linear Acoustic has been creating audio solutions for video systems for years, integrating Dolby technology into products. However, this year something is new. “We have a long history of building products ourselves,” said Rob France, senior product marketing manager for Dolby. “We’re not getting out of building products, but we will withdraw many from the market.” Linear Acoustic has strong ties with Dolby; now the companies have partnered to
