arlier this year, Fender introduced two models commemorating the company’s original pair of groundbreaking instruments—the Telecaster and Precision Bass. The 60th Anniversary Telecaster and 60th Anniversary Precision Bass each feature a new Blackguard Blonde ﬁnish created especially for the occasion. Thanks to Fender Musical Instruments and the 2011 Ultimate Guide to Guitar & Bass Gear, two lucky players will win either a 60th Anniversary Telecaster or a 60th Anniversary Precision Bass. THE PRECISION BASS
Also introduced in 1951, the Precision Bass was the world’s ﬁrst successful solidbody electric bass guitar, and it revolutionized popular music so thoroughly that it even created a new kind of musician—the electric bassist.
