The International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant (IHMRS) and
Boutique Design New York (BDNY) tradeshows head back to
New York, November 8-11th, co-located at the Jacob K. Javits
Center. Among the packed show floors (IHMRS will feature
650 exhibitors, while BDNY's floor has increased to some
500 exhibitors) and insightful accredited conference sessions,
including NEWH Green Voice Conversations at the NEWH
booth, there are two not-to-miss events (both requiring tickets).
The fi rst is BDNY's Boutique Design Power Players: Women
Leaders in Hospitality breakfast, co-sponsored by NEWH and
Women in Lodging (WIL), on Monday, November 10th at 9 a.m.
The session kicks off with keynoter Trisha Wilson, chairman of

to Best Hotel Luxury, which were narrowed down from more
than 280 entries by a prestigious panel of judges, as well as
honor the designer of the year, Rob Wagemans of Amsterdambased Concrete. "The record number of entries and the quality,
creativity, and functionality of the submissions all reflect the
dynamism of this industry," says Mary Scoviak, executive editor
of Boutique Design magazine. "Th is year's fi nalists redefi ned what
outstanding design is all about."
Awards judge Ron Kollar, Tishman Hotel's chief design
officer, adds: "Th is year's fi nalists show that designers are writing
and rewriting concepts until they say something new, and saying 
it with integrity. And, they're telling their stories in ways that will
still be relevant in years to come."

Connect Four
After 11 successful years as the premier boutique hospitality
design show, HD Americas will helm the hospitality division
for Design Americas-the Hospitality Design Group's
expanded annual tradeshow and conference focusing on Latin
America and the Caribbean. Taking place at the Miami Beach
Convention Center on September 16-17th, 2015, the tradeshow
and conference will bring together the hospitality, commercial,
residential, and retail design markets driven by the expertise
of not only Hospitality Design magazine but also its sister
publications Contract, K+BB, and design:retail. Th ink of it as
four shows in one, with a floorplan that separates each sector but
Trisha Wilson Global, who will then join a panel of eight women
thought leaders for a dynamic conversation about what's new and
what's next. Panelists include:

allows attendees easy access to the entire exhibition. In addition
to hundreds of exhibitors, the unified show will also welcome
leaders from the specific focuses for a series of inspiring panels
and conference events.
