In October, the chapter held its seventh annual Bootleggers Bash
fundraising event at American Junkie. More than $13,000 was
raised for the chapter's scholarship fund. A very special thank you
to the event sponsors: Alger-Triton, Wendover Art Group, 1888 Mills,
Hallmark Lighting, MDC, Miceli Drapery, and Samelson-Chatelane.
The chapter also held its inaugural Student Hospitality Roundtable

in November. Twenty-eight students and two professors attended
in addition to seven industry experts (interior design, international
interior design, procurement, hospitality management, hospitality
branding, and culinary). Students were divided into groups that rotated
to the expert tables for 12-minute sessions.

Atlantic City/Philadelphia

Madison Art Consulting, along with 2015 chapter board members,
curated a holistic healing art program for the expansion project of the
Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, for which Madison Art
Consulting is receiving national recognition. In November, the chapter held
its annual scholarship awards event at the Avalon Flooring showroom
in Philadelphia. Avalon Flooring professionals were on site to answer
inquiries about carpet, tile, natural stone, hardwood, vinyl, laminate, area
rugs, and window treatments. For the first time in chapter history, $6,000
in scholarships was awarded to the three scholarship winners: first place,
Ariana Paul, Drexel University; second place, Emily Klein, Atlantic Cape
Community College; and third place, Theresa
Griffin, Moore College of Art. Additionally, Chris
Baker of Topher Design won the raffle drawing
for an Avalon Flooring rug. Congratulations to
all the scholarship winners!
