The chapter hosted its inaugural Art Melange event at the
International Polo Club in Palm Beach, Florida in March,
enjoying a brunch, polo match, silent auction, and live music
with industry professionals and sponsors. On March 22nd,
the Miami Regional Tradeshow was held at the Miami Airport
Convention Center, featuring hospitality vendor product
displays and CEU topics in lighting and design. And in May
the chapter held its annual Rock and Bowl Event at Bird Bowl.

Arizona
In July, NEWH Arizona's first philanthropic event of
the year was held at ICM Food and Clothing Bank
in downtown Phoenix. ICM helps families in need
by providing an immediate response to meet basic
necessities. NEWH members and their families
volunteered their time to help ensure 165 families
received clothing and toiletries.
In September the chapter toured Scottsdale's hip
Hotel Valley Ho, whose guestrooms and suites
were refurbished by 3rd story Architects and Interior
Designers in 2015. Ace Bailey, president of Ultimate
Art and Cultural Tours, lead the historic tour and
Anissa Mendil, director of interior design at 3rd
story, provided insight into how they reinterpreted
midcentury elements.
