South Carolina Region
The region hosted its first-annual Turkey Bowl in November, where South Carolina
regional members were joined by North Carolina regional members at Beltline Lanes
in Columbia, South Carolina.

North Carolina Region

The regional group participated in the second-annual
Hospitality at Market, affectionately known as HAM, which
takes place every October in High Point, North Carolina.
Members hosted the Southern Hospitality kick-off event for all
NEWH members in the Designmaster showroom, along with a
book signing by author Susan Swicegood Boswell.

Orange County Region
The regional group held its annual scholarship awards dinner at
the Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Pont, California in December,
featuring a hotel tour, dinner, DJ, and toy drive.
1 Giannina Paredes
of San Diego State University - Hospitality & Tourism was awarded
a $2,500 Boutique Design scholarship, and Elizabeth Sanders of
San Diego State University - Hospitality & Tourism was awarded a
$2,500 Orange County regional scholarship. The keynote speaker
was Swati Patel, co-founder of Prospera Hotels. Star Awards were
also given for top supporting vendors of the organization, and
the 2018 TopID winners were announced as well. A TopID panel
discussion is planned for early summer.
