Cut largest patches ﬁrst. Measurements
include ¼˝ seam allowances.
* White solid
1 square (A) 12˝ x 12˝
* Assorted prints-cut a total of:
36 squares (B) 2˝ x 2˝
* Text print
4 squares (B) 2˝ x 2˝
2 rectangles (C) 2˝ x 9½˝, cut on
2 rectangles (C) 2˝ x 9½˝
* Lining fabric
1 square 19˝ x 19˝
* Backing fabric
2 rectangles (D) 10¾˝ x 15½˝
trim to 9½" x 9½"
Piecing the Pillowcase
1 Fold white solid A in half vertically
and horizontally and lightly crease the
folds. Using folds and motif registration mark as guides, lightly trace
embroidery motif onto A. Referring
to Diagram I and embroidery stitch
diagrams, embroider motif onto A in
colors shown. Centering motif, trim A
to 9½˝ x 9½˝ to make Center.
Assembling the Pillowcase
NOTE: Refer to Assembly Diagram for
2 Sew together 6 assorted print B's and
join to one side of Center. Repeat
on opposite side of Center. Sew
lengthwise C's to both sides to complete middle row. Sew together 10
assorted B's and join to top of Center.
Repeat for bottom of Center. Sew together 2 text print B's, 2 assorted B's
and text print C in order shown and
stitch to top. Repeat for bottom to
complete pillow top.
