To create effective codes and standards that protect lives, NFPA relies on the democratic procedures of
its codes and standards development process. The Committee Leadership Conference (CLC) will show
NFPA technical committee officers and members how to carry out their duties and responsibilities.
This session will be based on the new Regulations Governing the Development of NFPA Standards.
Please note that a more in-depth, advanced review of the new process and associated software will
be done at the Standards Forum on Tuesday June 11, 2013 at 1:30 pm. The CLC is open to anyone
who wishes to attend. Advance registration is required. Please contact the Codes and Standards
Administration at 617-984-7246 or by email at stds_admin@nfpa.org.
Exam begins promptly at 8:00 am. Pre-registration is
required. Your application form must be processed and approved by Friday, May 10. Go to nfpa.org/cfps
and select “how to become certified” for the CFPS examination requirements and the application form.
