ASR Digital LineUp - (Page 51) For fall 2008, Ezekiel took some time to reflect back on the early ’90s. A time when hip-hop and alternative music first began to realize they could coexist. NWA and Nirvana, Ice T and Anthrax. Streetwear was fresh, and flannels were everywhere. This season is a modern interpretation of this era. Mixing classic styling with subtle ’90s undertones for a new generation of young radicals. Key looks for this season are fleece silhouettes mixed with flannels, wool and sweater fabrications. The woven category mixes checked shirts with classic workwear and western detailing. As tops and footwear continue to be statement driven, denim stays dark and subtle with minimal detailing. Fashion mash-ups are still being played around with for graphic tees, but a new influence comes from vintage movie poster art and guerilla photography. The color story has introduced highlight colors deep purple, deep teal, porcelain blue and aqua. All these colors mixed back with grays, black and tans give the line a fresh take on early ’90s color themes. For more than 15 years Ezekiel has consistently introduced progressive fashion to the market. Its strength lies in its ability to adapt to change while offering its customers fresh looks and trend right product.
