WASA/Studio A designs an eco-friendly building as a new home for the Digital Arts department at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Myrtle Hall was designed to respond to its site, with the north-facing side (above) reflecting the brick architecture along Myrtle Avenue and the southfacing exterior glass curtainwall (below) gesturing toward the rest of Pratt Institute’s campus. The long, slender building offers a sense of transparency with a core atrium (opposite) that allows light to penetrate to interior spaces.
