John Cushman assumed the chairmanship of Cushman & Wakefield Inc.,the world’s largest private commercial real estate firm, in 2001, when he and brother Louis merged their boutique brokerage firm, Cushman Realty Corp., into the larger company. Frequently named the top office leasing broker in the country, Cushman began his career in 1963 working for Cushman & Wakefield in New York City. He moved to Los Angeles to open the company’s Southern California office in 1967 before launching Cushman Realty in 1978. In the middle of the 1980s,he negotiated the largest office lease in the world, for the headquarters of Merrill Lynch & Co.,involving an initial occupancy of 4 million square feet in New mittee for the department of contemporary art for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and is a director of jobs for Massachusetts. In addition, he became a member of the board of directors for WGBH and Boston World Partnerships this year and is a trustee for life of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is also a CPN Sustainability Executive of the Year Honoree this year. Bruce Mosler President & CEO, Cushman & Wakefield Inc. Bruce Mosler oversees the world’s largest independent real estate services firm and serves on its board of directors. He has led Cushman & Wakefield’s rapid growth, including the acquisition of the leading real estate services firms in Canada and Russia; oversaw the expansion of the firm’s global capital markets group; and secured IFIL Investments S.p.A. as the firm’s majority shareholder. The firm operates from 227 offices across 59 countries,and its 2007 revenues topped $2.1 billion. This year, Mosler received the Real Estate Board of New York’s Louis Smadbeck Broker Recognition Award.He serves as a trustee for the Urban Land Institute and sits on the Real Estate Board of New York’s board of governors. Mark Rauenhorst Chairman & CEO, Opus Group Mark Rauenhorst became president of Opus Group in April 1999, CEO a year later and chairman in April 2007.The $2.2 billion design-build firm has developed 238 million square feet of office, industrial, multi-family, retail, government and institutional property in its 55-year history, and it has another 35 million square feet planned or under development.
