During 2007, they transacted business valued at more than $37 billion, with annual revenues of over $537 million. Newmark Knight Frank helps corporations manage their real estate operations and portfolios by creating and executing long- and short-term strategic plans to reduce occupancy costs, increase efficiency and maximize value. Building JAMES KUHN from its roots in brokerage, NewPresident mark Knight Frank has expanded Newmark Knight Frank its client-focused model by adding complementary services to meet clients’ evolving needs. To this end, the company has steadily developed its projectmanagement division and its consulting practice. The Newmark Knight Frank consulting group provides strategic portfolio and operation planning, supply-chain consulting and workplace-strategies services. In April 2007, Newmark Knight Frank acquired Gale Global Facility Services, a former Mack-Cali Realty Corp. subsidiary. Now called Newmark Knight Frank Global Management Services, it oversees a portfolio of more than 60 million square feet across more than 40 countries, including 49 of the United States. Newmark Knight Frank’s expansion plans focus on building its presence in key markets in response to client needs. Domestic growth includes the recent addition of offices in Nashville, Detroit, Boston and Princeton, N.J. The BARRY GOSIN firm entered Latin America in 2006 CEO Newmark Knight Frank and now provides complete coverage throughout South America and Mexico, with additional office expansion planned for 2008. ProLogis P roLogis develops industrial space for lease to enterprises with large-scale distribution needs. It owns and manages 483 million square feet valued at more than $34 billion in 105 North American, Asian and European markets. During 2007, it signed new agreements for space at distribution parks around the world. Among these transactions, it leased 424,000 square feet in the Czech Republic to DHL Logistics, 400,000 square feet in Japan to Yamato Logistics Co. and 612,000 square feet in Atlanta JEFFREY SCHWARTZ to LG Electronics. Chairman & CEO The industrial REIT also exeProLogis cuted several large-scale build-tosuit transactions, a development strategy on which it plans to increase its focus during the next several years. Among its recent deals were a multi-state agreement with BMW AG to develop 1.2 million square feet in the eastern United States; build-to-suit agreements in Germany with Volkswagen AG, van Eupen Logistik and outdoor retailer Jack Wolfskin; and an agreement to develop its first distribution center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for third-party logistics service ARAMEX International. Since 2006, ProLogis has increased its build-to-suit activity by 17 percent. In addition to its core industrial business, the firm remains an active developer of mixed-use projects. For instance, its Catellus unit continues to work on the redevelopment of the former site of Austin’s Robert Mueller Municipal Airport. The 711-acre site will include 4,600 residences, a mixed-use town center and the 32-acre campus of the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.
