Certainly, it is our audience, exhibitors and association partners that contribute to GlobalShop’s success year in and year out, but the people listed on the right of this page work hard all year on this show, and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce them to you. If you attended one of our conference sessions at this year’s show, then you know firsthand the excellent work Toni Ward does for us. Toni is our conference manager and helps put together all of our conference sessions and special events, such as the Opening Night Reception and the Retail Town Hall. Derrick Nelloms is our operations manager and has the monster task of making sure everything happens on-site as it should. Among his many responsibilities, he makes sure the floor is laid out as it should be, the signage is up (and correct) and everything is ready to go when the show opens. Basically, he’s responsible for everything you see on-site. Brent Harrison is the newest addition to our team as our marketing manager. While Brent’s job includes typical things like marketing and promotion, he’s also very involved in helping us identify our market and how we can do a better job of serving it. If you’re an exhibitor (or a potential exhibitor), you’ve no doubt had conversations with one of the members of our sales team: Dreama McDaniel, Roarke Dowd and David Muirhead. This is a group of real professionals who do their best to understand our customers and help them make the most out of their investment in GlobalShop. And, if you haven’t spoken with them yet, give them a call. Our presenting partner, DDI Magazine, is of course a huge part of our operation. It’s great to be associated with the leading voice in the industry, as they do so much to help us address the needs of our audience. Of course, there are many others involved in putting together a show like GlobalShop, but this is our core team. They live and breathe this show year-round and take pride in the work they do to produce this event. I’m happy I get to work with them!
