Naturalizer
Shoes are artfully displayed in a tree structure, built by Troco, in this window of a Naturalizer (a division of Brown Shoe Co.) store in St. Louis. A powdercoated metal sculpture with wood laminated boxes holds the shoes, while magnetic flowers made to resemble the Naturalizer icon on the logo feature centers that can be changed out with different colors and patterns. Design of this window is credited to the visual merchandising design department for specialty retail, with Tim Feldges as design manager and Paul Schroeder as vice president of visual.

This Reserva store at Rua Bela Cintra 2149 in São Paulo—one of Brazil’s premier shopping thoroughfares—features a mannequin’s leg extending outside the window and landing on a stack of books, conveying a kinetic feel as it transcends the storefront glass.

Promoting its “Happy Organized Home Sale,” these displays from The Container Store’s Westfield Century City location in Los Angeles (above) and the New York store on Lexington Avenue and 58th Street (right) offer a “peek” into the windows and feature sale products from the catalog in a fun arrangement by color. Optically clear vinyl covers the windows and helps illuminate the color at night when backlit, while the back wall touts the sale message. A strong use of color and repetition, as well as balance, help to tie all windows together for a happy presentation.
