A A A A create that closeness is to fully understand their brand and what is important to them. Our most successful endeavors happen when our clients truly become our partners. How different does your company look today from five years ago? Q What is your company’s philosophy toward customization? Over the last five years, we have dramatically expanded the breadth of products and services that we offer. We also have realized that our clients want a high-quality product at a reduced cost to them. To meet those needs, we have engaged in operational efficiencies and worldwide sourcing. Since design leads most of our projects, customization follows shortly after. That being said, we only create custom solutions when a stock solution is not reasonable. A Q What else should we know about your company? Q What differentiates your company from other competitors in the marketplace? Being a design-driven company, we like to think our aesthetic separates us. In addition, we are not only custom manufacturers and designers, but we also have a line of successful proprietary products. The most important differentiator is the intelligence that we use in challenging and assessing every project that comes through our company. B&N is always excited to launch inspiring new products and create new solutions for designers and retailers. The most important thing people should know is that the team here at B&N is absolutely passionate about every project that we take on as if it were for ourselves. A A Q Predictions for the industry in 2013? Q www.bnind.com What does “partnership” mean to your company today? For B&N to perform at its peak, we have to put ourselves in the shoes of our clients. The only way we can B&N is projecting a modest growth in 2013, but we absolutely see that the retail climate is changing.
