In the last five years, we have brought a number of touchscreen applications to the market that provide true omnichannel linkage between bricks-and-mortar store locations and the retailers' e-commerce systems. Our experience in this area allows us to work effectively with the store operations people to deliver an exciting in-store experience that is coupled with the retailers' online and mobile systems. Q A Q A How would you describe your business in one sentence? Micro Industries is an innovator in the design and deployment of interactive touchscreen computer systems and applications. How different does your company look today from five years ago? In 2008, our primary business involved the sale of digital signage and interactive digital signage with remote management services for these systems. Today, we still provide innovative digital signage and interactive computer systems, but our software area has expanded to support a variety of standard and custom software applications. Q A What is your company's philosophy toward customization? We view every opportunity as unique. But, with the large array of both hardware and software solutions, we can easily customize our approach so that it is brand right and provides the retailer with a solution that differentiates them from their competition. Q A Are you seeing more or less collaboration in the industry? Our industry is extremely fragmented. The major players in the industry have either focused on a specific, highvolume market segment or withdrawn from the market. Retailers are typically faced with solutions that are based on various hardware configurations, operating systems and graphics standards. Q A What else should we know about your company? Micro Industries continues to bring new and innovative ideas to the market that are based on providing practical solutions to the problems faced by retailers today in the marketplace. Our unique understanding and control of the hardware, software and networking requirements necessary to implement effective, long-term, in-store solutions differentiate us from competitors that only provide pieces of the solution. Q A What are your predictions for the industry in 2014? We are optimistic about 2014 and have seen a variety of opportunities develop that are scheduled for deployment next year.
