By Charlie Taublieb, Contributing Writer Step 2 Apply a spray adhesive to hold the textured item in place on the pallet. Be sure to tape down the edges so the substrate doesn’t come off the pallet when you remove the shirt. You’ll need enough of the textured item to place on all pallets and test each one prior to beginning the production run. You’ll want to make sure the final print does not have a muddy appearance. Step 3 For best results, use an 83 mesh with a 70-micron thread stretched to 28 N/ cm. A 300-micron capillary film should be attached. If a higher ink deposit is required, then work with a 400-micron capillary film but add some gel to the ink to help it clear out of the open areas better. Also, remember to add a good amount of ink to the screen. Use Info•Action #28 at impressionsmag.com impressionsmag.com February 2010 << Impressions
