What vaccines are required before a trip to Tanzania? Can you bring your poodle with you to France? Who do you call to find out the answers to your travel questions? No one, you just go online. Making life a lot easier for question-addled travelers and travel planners is a new site launched by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) at www.iatatravelcentre.com. On it, air travelers can find necessary information on passports, visas and health advice. While most documentation problems are discovered at check-in, IATA says it is estimated that 35,000 travelers are turned back by immigration authorities every year, both at transfer points and final destinations. With the new Travel Centre, not only are travelers and travel planners given a one-stop shop for up-to-date information, but, because it comes from IATA, they have the invaluable security of knowing that the information is accurate. IATA has been representing and serving the airline industry for 60 years. The Travel Centre site builds on 40 years of IATA expertise in providing travel documentation advice to airlines, travel agencies and passengers.
