Incentive - January 2009 - (Page 55) Here & Now The Gift Gnome By Jeanie Casison Travelocity Incentives now offers a gift card good for hotel and airfare to the individual incentive market ndividual incentive award winners who want to customize their travel experiences can do so now with the Travelocity Vacation Gift Card. TravelocityIncentives.com is selling the card, which offers access to 55,000 participating hotels and 65 airlines. The card is unique in that it offers individual incentive award winners a soup-to-nuts solution in which a trip can be booked in one stop, rather than using a separate flight and hotel gift certificate. Nor does the Travelocity card have any I blackout dates: Whatever is available on the Travelocity Web site is available to the recipients. “Travel is an aspirational goal for many people in terms of motivation and incentives,” says Peter Friend, president of Pier 35 Events, the San Francisco–based company that operates the Travelocity Incentives Web site. “There was a gap between the demand for individual incentive travel and supplier businesses in terms of redemption. That has changed in the last several years. The Travelocity Vacation Gift Card offers an enormous amount of choice for individuals.” The card is available in denominations ranging from $250 to $5,000, and discounts are available to qualified program managers.” Customization options range from co-branding opportunities to the creation of custom landing pages for a corporation. In the coming months, Travelocity Incentives plans to introduce new individual products, such as a one-night-stay certificate, Friend says. www.travelocityincentives.com Product of the Month By Ira Ozer “Think and Grow Rich” and “The Science of Personal Achievement” CD Programs D uring these challenging times, many people may feel like stressedout failures. According to a Sirota Survey Intelligence study published in September 2008, employees who work in a highanxiety environment provide lower levels of service and customer satisfaction than those in a low-anxiety work environment. People are seeking ways to understand how they can break through and create a better future, and Napoleon Hill can help! Napoleon Hill is generally recognized as the founder of the field of personal development. At the direction of the industrialist Andrew Carnegie, Mr. Hill spent 20 years interviewing more than 500 of the greatest achievers of the 20th century and analyzing their success principles. According to Mr. Hill, success lies within 17 simple principles that, when used together, serve as a formula for achievement. These principles are the basis for his famous book Think and Grow Rich, and “The Science of Personal Achievement,” a comprehensive course in success that empowers people to convert any adversity into advantage. Much of the recent best-selling book, The Secret, was derived from these principles that Napoleon Hill identified more than 60 years ago. This program includes six compact discs plus a workbook and is priced at $79.95. It is available for incentive programs at a significant volume discount from Nightingale Conant.
