Rotating tables every 10 to 15 minutes, leaders in the industry led engaging conversations with attendees at the Industry Leader Roundtables held on Friday, April 19 at KBIS 2013. Conversations ranged from social media to business to clientele and how each aspect influences the others. Eduardo Cosentino, CEO of Cosentino North America, offered his advice in business and sales. Starting as a high school intern, he worked in multiple divisions, from workshop and commercial operations to commercial sales and senior $1,000 to support his pull-out kitchen faucet. Now celebrating its 30th anniversary, Rohl includes a line of faucets, fixtures, shower components and accessories. In recognition of his success, NKBA has inducted Rohl into its hall of fame. She advised companies to share the spotlight and to engage in direct conversation, and not just pitch products continuously. Attendees discussed paying attention to a client’s budget and overall wealth. As the marketing director also for Distinctive Storage Solutions, Elegant Bath Collection and Home Concepts, O’Neill proved knowledgeable in trade brand awareness, product development and e-business marketing tools. She also works within sales to promote remodeling and builder programs. Kenneth S. Rohl, founder and chairman of Rohl LLC, was in attendance to share his experience in business and manufacturing. Garcia and her husband also own Garcia Cabinetmakers. Invested in the kitchen industry for more than 25 years, Chuck Wheelock offers experience in design, sales and business — skills he attained prior to starting Wheelock Maidique LLC with Mark Maidique. His architectural design experience comes from working on corporate, educational and residential projects in the U.S. and the Middle East. Beginning his kitchen design career, Wheelock partnered with his cousin Norman Fay to represent Wood-Mode and Poggenpohl. Shortly afterward he was hired as a designer for Smallbone before later helping found Christopher Peacock Kitchens.
