HIGH FLYERS: In May, the Philadelphia CVB and Philadelphia International Airport honored five employees of their outstanding customer service. Charles Isdell, acting director of aviation at Philadelphia International, and Fritz Smith, VP of tourism for the Philadelphia CVB, presented awards to LaTeesha Swann and John Litchfield, both of the airport’s division of aviation; Sharon Watson, Parkway Corp.; Tom Starr, Southwest Airlines; and Anthony Stanley, US Airways. INDY’S TREASURE: On May 29, Bob Bedell, president & CEO of the Indianapolis CVA; Nate Feltman, Indiana Secretary of Commerce; Bruce White, chairman & CEO of White Lodging; Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard; and Mike Wells, president of REI Investments, broke ground on the $425-million JW Marriott Indianapolis complex, which will have four hotels totaling 1,623 guest rooms and more than 105,000 sf of meeting and exhibition space.
