In spring 2009, Air France will be the first European airline to operate the wide-bodied A380 aircraft. The A380s, powered by four GP 7200-type engines—specially developed by Engine Alliance—are the most environmentally advanced aircraft of their generation in terms of fuel consumption and gas and noise emissions. Tempo (Economy Class) features new ergonomically designed seats, a headrest, and reclining footrest. Air France offers attractive fares with flexible terms for 10 or more passengers traveling together in the same cabin, from the same origin and to the same destination. Air France also extends specially discounted fares for individual travelers who attend a meeting or incentive function but do not necessarily fly together as a group.
