Mid-America Regional St. Louis Hyatt Plans July Debut for Riverfront Renovations Currently undergoing a massive, $63 million renovation, the downtown Hyatt Regency St. Louis Riverfront has a projected July completion date for its latest round of enhancements, including 4,500 square feet of new meeting space. The top-to-bottom renovation will encompass the hotel’s 910 guest rooms as well as its existing 76,500 square feet of meeting space. The upgrade is part of a larger, $4 billion investment in downtown St. Louis by the city and private developers, who hope to revitalize the area and further establish St. Louis as a top Midwest destination. “This renovation is a complete transformation of the hotel,” said director of sales and marketing Brian Morris.“It will position the hotel to become the premier meetings hotel in the St. Louis region, while playing a significant role in the revitalization efforts of downtown St. Louis.” Upon completion, the Hyatt Regency St. Louis Riverfront will have 350 newly designed guest rooms with 37-inch flat-screen TVs, iPod Meet me in St. Louis: The Hyatt Regency FOR YOUR NEXT CONVENTION OR MEETING, LOOK TO THE CITY THAT IS THE NBA’S NEXT JEWEL IN THE CROWN. It also will have a new pool deck and observation area on its top floor, 52 new luxury suites, a new 3,000-sq.-ft. health club, and three new full-service restaurants. Existing meeting rooms will be made over with new lighting, carpet, furniture and wall coverings, as well as a state-of-the-art energy management system to control in-room temperatures. The property’s brand-new meeting space, meanwhile, includes two ballrooms totaling 4,500 square feet on the hotel’s 18th floor, where attendees will be able to enjoy views of the famed Gateway Arch. One of the ballrooms will open out onto a 1,900-sq.-ft. outdoor terrace for up to 200 people.
