RebeccA edMunds
Rebecca W. E. Edmunds has a design
degree from Cornell University, a
Masters of Architecture Degree from
the University of North Carolina
Charlotte, and an MFA from Queens
University. Edmunds has won
writing and design awards including
the the NC AIA Architectural Book
Award, and UNC Charlotte's
Excellence in Architectural History
and Theory Book Award. She lives
in Roanoke, Virigina.
Gets her best work done: Late at night,
when my husband and dogs have
gone to sleep, on a recumbant bike
with my laptop on a rolling desk.
Logistically it's quite cumbersome,
but the biking simultaneously
energizes me and allows the day
to fall away, so my mind and fi ngers
on the keyboard are free.

kiMbeRly RichteR
Interior designer Kimberly Richter
is project manager of Perspective,
for which she functions as a de
facto embedded reporter. She is
the Branded Environments Design
Manager at Perkins + Will Chicago,
where she specializes in building
integrated spaces and developing
strategies that tell a client's story.
Richter worked for fi lm-production
company Ridley Scott Associates
and HBO prior to earning her
master's in architecture-with an
emphasis in interior architecture-
from the School of the Art Institute
of Chicago.
Gets her best work done: Locked
in an untethered, tool charged,
work-out-loud space with a talented
cast of characters.

sAschA wAgneR
A managing principal at Huntsman
Architectural Group, Sascha Wagner
is currently spearheading projects
for Pixar, Lucasfi lm, Google, Dolby,
Lithium, Weebly, and Medium.
He is the is Past-President of IIDA's
Northern California Chapter, and
his projects and articles have been
published widely.
Gets his best work done: Early in
the day. Often, I might get the seed
of an idea while waking up, ponder
it further in the shower, and start
setting it in motion as soon as I get
into the office - all before the daily
clutter of information begins to build.

bud RodeckeR & beth weAveR
This issue's graphics-from the
custom typefaces to the high-concept
page layouts-were spearheaded
by Bud Rodecker and Beth Weaver
of the Chicago-based design
collaborative 3st. Together, they've
continued updating Perspective's
award-winning visuals to make
the publication even more inspired
and compelling. Both have serious
design chops. Rodecker, who teaches
typography at DePaul University,
has had his experimental work
represented in the Chicago Design
Archive, Graphis, and several other
publications. Prior to receiving
her MFA in graphic design at the
Rhode Island School of Design,
Weaver double-majored in theater
design and Spanish studies at
Butler University and received her
interior design BFA from Harrington
College of Design.
