IIDA 2016 Compensation
Survey: The first-ever
comprehensive salary survey produced
by IIDA reveals the current wages
for employees with interior design or
architecture degrees who work for
U.S.-based firms and manufacturers.
The data is also being used to create
member tools, including a results
dashboard and an interactive salary
calculator that will be available in
2017. The executive report is available
to members on www.iida.org, and the
full report is available for purchase.
Design Leveraged (Part 2
of 3): Understanding the power of
workplace design can be the difference
between attracting and retaining
the best employees and losing out
to your competitors. For the second
stage of the IIDA Design Leveraged
series, IIDA and the Business and
Institutional Furniture Manufacturers
Association (BIFMA) commissioned
a study that examines how design
affects employee satisfaction and
engagement. What we found is clear:
There is an undeniable business case
for good design. IIDA Members can
access a full copy of the report at

Economic Impact Study: The
results of this study provide the facts
that design advocates need when
talking to legislators about what
interior design is and how it affects
their state's economy. The full report
will be available in early 2017. For more

IIDA Industry Roundtable: The
20th annual roundtable in January will
bring together a select group of IIDA
industry and design members. They'll
discuss issues-including emerging
economic, cultural, and social trends-
facing all partners who work in the
profession of interior design. A report
