TACO BELL'S
NEW LOOK
The food joint that inspired a fast
and furious dining experience with its
"Live Más" slogan is looking to create a
change of pace with the help of a major
interior overhaul.
Taco Bell, the popular Irvine,
California, USA-based chain, recently
unveiled four new restaurant designs in

Design aficionados got a crack at rock and style icon David Bowie's personal
collection of art and interior artifacts in November thanks to an auction at
Sotheby's. The event included several furniture pieces by Italian designer Ettore
Sottsass and the Milan, Italy-based Memphis group. The auction exceeded
expectations, grossing more than $40 million over two days.
"This is design with no limits and no boundaries," says Cécile Verdier, co-head of
20th-century design at Sotheby's. "When you look at a piece of Memphis design,
you see their unconventionality, the kaleidoscope of forms and patterns, the
vibrant contrasting colours that really shouldn't work but really do."
