Successful Meetings - September 2008 - (Page 23) > Independent Planners Experient Partners with zuku for Interactive Meetings Meeting and event planning company Experient has entered into a preferred partner agreement with zuku, a Web and mobile communications company that’s based in Madison, CT. The partnership will enable Twinsburg, Ohio-based Experient to enhance its events and meetings with zuku’s signature technology, which enables interactive, event-based text messaging. Specifically, Experient plans to use zuku to stimulate audience-speaker interaction. With the technology, meeting attendees will be able to send questions and comments to keynote speakers, and to participate in surveys and polls—all via their mobile phones. And because News & Analysis Experient’s agreement with zuku will enable the company to use interactive, text-based messaging as a polling tool at all of its clients’ meetings speakers can text back, the service also opens the door to new marketing oppor- tunities for event sponsors. “Our clients are always asking us for ways to better engage and interact with their audiences and show them relevant technology solutions,” Scott Durkin, Experient’s vice president for partner development, said in a statement. “We can deliver both at an affordable price. Also, zuku provides immediate feedback during any type of session with the end goal of creating a better attendee experience. For example, with zuku, session leaders can poll their audience while class participants use the technology to submit questions and complete speaker evaluations.” —Matt Alderton http://www.fairmont.com/singapore http://www.swissotel.com/singapore-stamford http://www.fairmont.com/singapore http://www.swissotel.com/singapore-stamford
