Contrary to popular belief, employees don’t relish time away from their bosses, according to two recent OfficeTeam surveys, one of 492 office workers ages 18 and older, the other of 150 senior executives < > members work in the same location. Don’t know: 5% >> Nokia Siemens Networks, a network communications company with 60,000 employees, implemented the SuccessFactors Performance and Talent Management suite to drive consistency across its global operations. The company, the result of a merger between the network communications divisions of Nokia and Siemens, sought technology help to unite employees of the newly formed company, and called on SuccessFactors to build a common culture and operating model for its high-performing employees. >> NetSpeed Learning Solutions was awarded a five-year contract to provide a series of workshops on various Leadership and Organizational Development topics to the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO). The contract, involving its NetSpeed Leadership program, also includes the training of internal trainers within GAO. >> iLinc Communications, Inc., a provider of Web conferencing software and audio conferencing services, entered into a partner agreement with Evolment Soluciones Tecnologicas S.L., a Barcelona-based technology software and services provider, that will enable Evolment to sell iLinc’s suite of Web conferencing products to potential clients in Western Europe. >> Safari Books Online, a provider of digital libraries, announced an agreement with Packt Publishing to make Packt’s books and other technical publications available online to corporate and individual library subscribers.
