Technical Services - Winter 2009 - (Page 20) TS Team Members Contribute to Sector Success Realize the Benefits of Continuous Process Improvement As a member of the Human Resources team for the Citizenship Immigration Services (CIS) program, I’m eager to ensure that my dedication and professional goals not only benefit the CIS program but also have a positive impact on the entire TS Human Resources community. I look Julio Jerez ahead to building a long-term, widespread base Systems Support of credibility with our most important assets, our employees. As I work to provide efficient and friendly customer service while living up to the Northrop Grumman values, I am both personally rewarded and challenged to grow as a member of the team. I am proud to say that I’m in! Superior Performance on ALL Programs I manage the TS Support Services Contract for the Energy Enterprise Business Unit within the Defense Energy Support Center. Our team provides contracting, technical, pricing and program management expertise to the Military Services and Office of the Secretary of Randy Pearson Systems Support Defense through the implementation of the Utility Privatization program and Energy Savings Performance contracts. We have been a key partner for the past seven years and our team has recently won a re-compete contract for the next four years. I am proud of my team and I am proud to be a member of Northrop Grumman Technical Services. Realizing Your Fullest Potential as an Individual and a Member of Team Technical Services As a media relations representative with Technical Services, I’m focused on developing and implementing media relations strategies and communication plans, including marketing Jeff Lacap communications support, that enable business Sector Comm. growth. I also provide communications support on strategic pursuits externally and internally promoting business capabilities, while highlighting business group core competencies. While collaborating with business and market development managers, as well as business group program managers, I provide specific public relations and marketing communications advice, guidance and hands-on support for those efforts that have broader communications value to the sector. My goal is to help the Communications team put out the best possible product and provide superior support to all the sectors. I’m in! Superior Performance on ALL Programs As the Eastern Regional Human Resource administrative assistant for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Application Support Center project, I consistently strive to provide outstanding support to our 51 geographically dispersed site supervisors, as well as to regional Renee Aubee and project office staff. By assisting with the Systems Support processing of candidates, as well as complicated security clearance paperwork, I help the program team meet staffing requirements and hire qualified personnel so we can continue to maintain an excellent customer service record and meet contract requirements. Massive New Business Growth I have the distinct honor and privilege of managing and working with a talented TS team at the Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency, Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla. The team helps the Air Force control escalating energy costs by increasing emphasis on conservation and increased utility system efficiency. We strive to be Gary Hein their “go-to contractor” in helping expand their T & S Group Facility Energy Program. We have been very successful so far. This is a result of staffing our team with highly qualified and motivated people, aligning with quality and respected subcontractors, providing top-notch support and staying in touch with the client’s needs. Realize Your Fullest Potential as an Individual and a Member of Team Technical Services As a member of the B-2 Aircrew Training team at Whiteman AFB, I’m given the opportunity to work with nine outstanding individuals that encourage me to use my background as a mechanic and Al Weir instructor to produce the best training courseware LCOE Group possible. The interaction within the workcenter and with the customer helps me stay motivated to provide the warfighter with the tools they need to fight and win. Superior Performance on ALL Programs As a Business Development person, my goal is to be more diligent in requesting government de-briefings. Valuable information is readily available through this process. Knowing and understanding which factors most influenced the decision-makers in TS’ favor is a Lynda Saunders major advantage in performing at the highest LCOE Group expectations of our customer. Much can also be learned from reviewing oral presentations. I pledge to obtain a DVD of the orals and make same available to the program management and key staff for periodic reviewing. Massive New Business Growth The Base Closure and Realignment (BRAC) will bring more than 5,000 new jobs to Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala., along with providing Northrop Grumman a unique opportunity to grow and develop new business. I’m proud to be associated with this important work for our sector, and committed to successful execution of program work. Gary Levan Systems Support 20 Technical Services Magazine • Winter 2009
