Technical Services - Winter 2008 - (Page 22) TS Team Members Contribute to Sector Success Realize the Benefits of Continuous Process Improvement As Operations manager for the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team, I manage the stock control and material analysis functions at Oklahoma City, Okla., as well as warehouse operations at Palmdale, Calif., and Whiteman Gil Navarro Air Force Base in Missouri. In 2007, we estabLCOE lished a joint continuous process improvement initiative with the Integrated Systems sector to reduce our B-2 stock value investment from $20 million to $12 million. We established a Stock Reduction CPI Team that developed and implemented processes and procedures to decrease the stock level without impacting the warfighter. We accomplished our goal and returned $8 million to TS while achieving excellent performance award fee metrics from our customer. I take great pride in providing support to our project by sending our Systems Support well-trained, customer-oriented technicians to other ASC locations across the country. Our site consistently receives outstanding customer comments while achieving an overall satisfaction rating of 99 percent. I’m very proud of my team’s performance and efforts to support sector business goals.
