S ment. In addition, her commission was suspended for six months, immediately stayed in favor of probation, and she was ordered to attend a notary public practice and procedure course. In Philadelphia, two notaries were disciplined because both failed to require personal appearance. One notary was ordered to pay a $250 civil penalty and $150 for the costs of continued monitoring. In addition, the notary had his commission suspended for 15 months, with 12 months of active suspension and the remaining time stayed in favor of probation. The second Philadelphia notary also had her commission suspended for 15 months, with 12 months of active suspension and the remaining time stayed in favor of probation. She also was ordered to pay an assessment of $150 for the cost of continued monitoring. She assisted an individual in processing numerous Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) documents, particularly vehicle transfers and allowed the individual to use her address as the registered address of the vehicles.
