what did you say? chamber jargon Ambassadors – A program created to assist new and existing members in feeling welcome. You can find Ambassadors at our events as greeters. They also assist with the delivery of new member bags. Any member of the Chamber can participate in the Ambassadors Corp. our printed Member-2-Member directory as well as an exclamation mark next to your online business directory listing. B2B – Our monthly Business to Business printed publication. The B2B is located inside the Ann Arbor Business Review’s first publication of each month. Online Directory – Each of our members are listed in directory format on our website with e-mail and website links. Power Mingle – We call it a “Power Mingle” because the purpose is to move quick, meet people and exchange information in ten minutes. The Power Mingle is held during our monthly NetWorks! event. Business Directory – Our annual printed directory of members. The annual Business Directory is laid out in three different sections; search by category, alphabetically and by person in the Who’s Who section. Business Resource Referral Network – Get one hour of free business counseling from Chamber members registered in this program. Find out more about this program by calling SCORE. Preferred Providers – Carefully selected member companies that provide cost savings or large scale benefits to our entire membership. SCORE – A group of retired entrepreneurs and business executives who volunteer to assist any business person with their business. This is a free, one-on-one confidential business counseling session. Sessions are held in one hour increments. Certificate of Origin – The purpose of the Certificate of Origin is to authenticate the country of origin of the goods being shipped. Chamber Express or eNews – Our weekly electronic newsletter updating you on Chamber news and events. (Please provide us with e-mails of your employees you would like to receive this information.) Share Table – A table strategically placed at each of our events. It is a place where all members can place one marketing piece to promote their company. Speakers Bureau – A list of potential speakers for our events organized by subject. This program is available to all members. Speed Networking – Speed Networking is another NetWorks! favorite. Event goers have less than three minutes to learn as much about the person across the table from them and then…ding, it’s on to the next person. It’s speed dating for your business! Community Calendar - An online community calendar where you can post your events and stay involved in the business community. The Community Calendar can be found in the events menu on our website. Enhanced Listing – A listing in our annual printed and online business directory that is color bolded and allows 25 words to describe your business. Event Sharing – When we partner with another organization, we allow our members to attend the other organization’s events at their member pricing and vice versa. This does not pertain to all events of either organization. Exclamation Point – This is an enhancement on your online membership directory listing, using an exclamation mark, when you are offered a Member-2-Member discount. Strategic Alliance Partners – Our sponsorship and partnership opportunity for members. Partners enjoy exclusive advertising opportunities. There are three levels of involvement; Platinum, Gold and Silver. Testimonial – An opportunity for Corporate members and above to tell their success story. Testimonials are published in the B2B and posted on our website. Guest Columnist – An opportunity to write one educational article to be published in the B2B. Available only to members in the Corporate membership level and above. Year Ender - A celebration held in December to thank our members for being part of the Chamber and to celebrate the end of the year. This celebration is only available to Chamber members. Lobby Display – Our lobby is open to members, Business level and above, who would like to place one marketing piece on display for our visitors and other members to take with them when they leave.
