About LACMA: Established as an independent institution in 1965, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art has assembled a permanent collection that includes approximately 100,000 works spanning the history of art from ancient times to the present, making it the premier encyclopedic visual arts museum in the western United States.With the opening of the Broad Contemporary Art Museum in February 2008, LACMA will be the only museum of its kind to have a significant amount of exhibition space devoted to contemporary art. A three-phase transformation and renovation project is actively ongoing for the next ten years which will dramatically change LACMA’s six-building, twenty-acre campus, unifying it into a coherent whole. Position Summary: Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Associate Vice President of Campaign and Major Gifts will serve as Campaign Manager for LACMA’s Transformation Capital Campaign as well as oversee staff to develop strategies and improve tactics for donor Primary Responsibilities: •Monitors and organizes all aspects of the Capital and Endowment Campaign, including tracking prospects, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, tracking timelines and deadlines, and updating campaign reports, among other duties. •Develops and/or approves strategies for both prospect and donor solicitations through supervising employees in the areas of major gifts, volunteer council activities, and major donor event planning; creates proposals and works with solicitors to ensure effective cultivation and solicitation of six and seven-figure gifts. Maintains a portfolio of prospects and oversees the implementation of a donor recognition program. • Develops, tracks, and manages expenditures within the approved campaign budget and projects campaign revenues.
