Julie Hulme, head of retail and shopping center sales for G4S Security Services, the largest security company in the U.K., says risk assessors put together alert bulletins that went out immediately after London police found the first of two cars rigged with explosives, and the company continued to update its retail clients as the story unfolded. I According to the senior-level director of asset protection for an apparel retailer with more than a dozen stores in London, the company’s LP department received its first e-mail alert in the pre-dawn hours of June 29, shortly after police found the first of two Mercedes rigged with explosives in the city’s Haymarket area. While both cars were disabled before they could detonate, an SUV loaded with gasoline canisters was driven into the terminal of Glasgow International Airport the following day.
