Diversity - (Page 5)
The NSA Office of Disability Affairs is considered
a U.S. Intelligence Community leader in assistive
technology, customer service, reasonable
accommodation and disability accessibility. We work
directly with you to determine what you need to do
the best job possible. Some examples include:
* Providing qualified interpreters and providing
assistance with Activities of Daily Living. As part
of Reasonable Accommodations, NSA also provides
assistance with Activities of Daily Living during the
workday through the Workplace Care Program.
* Modifying or restructuring job duties
"NSA's Office of Disability Affairs set
up a class to teach my new co-workers
some deaf culture information and basic
sign language. And that happened before
I even finished orientation."
* Providing flexible work schedules or work sites
* Obtaining assistive technology or other workplace
Training is essential for bringing diversity awareness
to the workforce. It's one of the most important ways
we cultivate an inclusive culture at NSA. The Equal
Employment Opportunity and Diversity Directorate
regularly hosts events where speakers share their
insights on diversity trends and issues. These
presentations and seminars are customized to ensure
employees have the awareness, skills and knowledge
they need to carry the message of diversity and respect
into their personal work environments.
U.S. citizenship is required for all applicants.
