The long-term learning objects are to teach workshop participants: how to maintain contact with a new professional acquaintance and how to build and effectively sustain a professional network for job opportunities, project opportunities, collaboration, career mentoring/sponsorship and social support. With 19,000 lane-miles of right of way and many other properties under its ownership, ODOT lands provide a ready opportunity for development of solar energy, adding value to the public’s transportation system. During this talk, the speaker explains what App Engine is and how it uses BigTable and other Google technologies to make launching and scaling web apps easy. The talk also includes a demo in which the speaker will walk through the process of building and deploying a small web application in minutes.
