Earle of nSbe’s Houston, Texas alumni chapter has been promoted to vice president of global enterprise Services and Solutions for Right Hemisphere, a provider of enterprise visual product communication, collaboration and publishing solutions. in earle’s 20-year career, he established blazent’s enterprise Software Services organization, was a founding architect at chordiant, served as a vice president of engineering at a physician aSp company and held a variety of positions at non-Stop logistics, Trimble navigation and gTe Strategic electronic defense. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a minor in computer engineering from northeastern University. Da’Shaun A. Joseph of lockheed martin corporation was named 2008–09 member of the year for nSbe’s Washington, d.c. alumni chapter. She joined nSbe–aedc in august 2007, has served as a member of the chapter’s membership committee and banquet committee and is the 2009–10 secretary, as well as interim chapter vice president. da’Shaun is a capture execution officer with lockheed martin’s information Systems and global Services division and is a participant in the company’s engineering leadership development program. She has a bachelor’s in computer engineering from norfolk State University, where she was in the dororetz national institute for mathematics and applied Sciences Full academic Scholarship program. Michael A. Simpson, of nSbe’s los angeles, calif. alumni chapter, is one of five top professionals developing a nationwide high school outreach pilot program called “Shaping the World of public Works.” The program begins in January and is sponsored by the american public Works association. it will allow ninth through 12th graders to examine the role of public works in daily life and learn about burgeoning career opportunities in the field. Simpson is a senior environmental engineer with the city of los angeles department of public Works and assistant division manager for the los angeles industrial Waste management organization. He oversees the Federal mandated pre-Treatment program and pollution prevention operations. Onté M. McClendon, staff engineer in mmd packaging Technology for merck & co., inc., has been certified as a merck Sigma black belt. He gained the elite quality improvement certification with a tool set he developed for a project called “dual Sourcing of the north american Film and Foil Supply.” His work will help merck leverage competitive pricing while maintaining a quality product, the company says. mcclendon has served in nSbe leadership positions since 2002. now a member of the merck/nSbe recruiting team, he was nSbe national assistant treasurer – Finance control in 2008–09 and president of nSbe’s michigan State University chapter from 2003 to 2005.
